Meet the Guest – Nina Means
Nina Means is the inaugural Director of the ACC Fashion Incubator, where she educates, incubates, and accelerates business-minded creative entrepreneurs in the fashion industry. With deep experience across design, education, business development, and fashion technology, she leads the strategy, operations, personnel, and implementation of programs that help emerging brands bridge creativity and commerce. Her leadership has supported digital transformation in fashion while aligning creative excellence with business objectives.
Across more than 20 years of cross-industry experience, Nina has worked in higher education, healthcare, entrepreneurship, and global program development. She has successfully launched and managed initiatives including The Future of Fashion virtual series sponsored by Macy’s, the Designers-in-Residence Incubator program, and the ATX+EGYPT global fashion exchange accelerator sponsored by the U.S. Embassy Cairo. She also helped establish a partnership with Polimoda through a financial-aid eligible summer exchange program and articulation agreement.
Nina began her career in public health programs, research, and impact metrics, serving historically excluded communities through chronic and infectious disease initiatives across global programs. She has held leadership roles managing multimillion-dollar budgets, clinical trials, grants, and complex academic operations, and has advised founders, CEOs, and organizations including SXSW Pitch, SXSW, Austin Florence Alliance, and ACCTV.
A recognized leader and mentor, Nina is passionate about empowering entrepreneurs, building strategic partnerships, and creating pathways for innovation across fashion, business, education, and social impact.
