Show Notes
What happens when you blend civic leadership, marketing savvy, soccer fandom, and a deep love for Austin? You get Jeremiah Bentley. In this episode, Adam talks with Jeremiah, as he shares his remarkable journey from a small Texas town to becoming a major force in Austin’s business and nonprofit scenes. As VP of Marketing and Community Af-fairs at Texas Mutual Insurance, Jeremiah reflects on building a decades-long career, investing in local leadership, and channeling corporate resources into meaningful community change, especially through early childhood education, work-force development, and disaster preparedness.
Jeremiah also dishes on Austin FC’s evolution, how a soccer podcast turned into a fan-powered movement, and why he thinks the Cap10K and queso-fueled traditions still capture the soul of the city. Along the way, he shares reflections on what makes Austin uniquely magnetic, and why building community (right here at home) matters. Plus, stay tuned to the end where Jeremiah reveals the dumbest idea he ever had… that actually worked.
