Show Notes
In this episode, Adam sits down with Austin-based power couple Billy Moyer and Ashley Alaniz Moyer for a conversation about leadership, marriage, and community. Billy, founder of SOS Leadership and a keynote speaker since age seven (yes, really), shares how a childhood goal turned into a lifelong mission to empower others. Ashley, Executive Director of the Hispanic Scholarship Consortium, reflects on her experience navigating identity in predominantly white spaces and how it shaped her commitment to equity in education. Together, they’ve built a life centered around service and shared values.
They talk about stepping into leadership roles before feeling fully ready, finding their footing in Austin’s evolving landscape, and what it means to support one another without losing individual identity. From launching a podcast that doubled as relationship maintenance to navigating the challenges of fast-tracked commitment, Billy and Ashley share what it’s taken to build something lasting, in their work, in their marriage, and in their city.
